Each year the Grad Class Executive plans numerous events for grads and their families during Convocation weekend, including the grad banquet and formal.  To purchase tickets, please visit the Grad Executive in Old SUB 625.

Baccalaureate Service
Time: 10:30 a.m.

This service of worship recognizes that graduates have a greater calling beyond themselves. The University equips its students to make a contribution to society, to be prepared to give an extra effort to the betterment of humanity. The Baccalaureate Service reminds the graduating class of this honourable responsibility. 

Prior to the ceremony, Graduands should informally line up in the lower corridor (basement) of University Hall, and enter and leave Convocation Hall as on graduation day. Graduands wear academic gowns, but no hoods or headdress to this service.

Honorary Degree Luncheon
Time: 12:00 p.m.
Location: Fountain Commons
(By invitation only) In recognition of Acadia’s 2018 Honorary Degree Recipients.

Afternoon Convocation (Faculty of Theology and Faculty of Arts)
Time: 3:00 p.m.
Location: Convocation Hall

Grads and their guests are invited to this dinner, featuring speeches by University President Peter Ricketts and the valedictorian for the class of 2018, and award presentations, such as Student of the Year and the Golden A.

Students will have the opportunity to bring their significant other (or good friend) for one final celebration with their Acadia friends. Featuring a DJ and a bar. Tickets may be purchased at the door, during Grad Executive office hours, or at the Union Market.
