Each year the Grad Class Executive plans numerous events for grads and their families during Convocation weekend, including the grad banquet and formal.  To purchase tickets, please visit the Grad Executive in Old SUB 625.

The wine tour provides students and their families the opportunity to experience some of the best wineries on the East Coast, including Domaine De Grand-Pre, Luckett Vineyards, L’Acadie Vineyards and Gaspereau Vineyards.  To purchase tickets, please click here.

Graduation TGIF at the University Club
Time: 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Location: University Club, 17 Westwood Avenue
Acadia University is one of the few academic institutions in Atlantic Canada which retains a university social club.  Acadia’s University Club (U-Club) provide a unique space for meetings, informal gatherings, and events for our 100 members, their guests, and the larger university community.  Please join us on Friday May 10th for our Convocation TGIF, between 4 and 7 PM for a celebration of beginnings and endings. We always welcome U-Club members and non-members to TGIFs, and for May 10th, we especially welcome alumni, graduating students, and parents/family members, for refreshments, reminiscing, and munchies.  17 Westwood Ave (the “Little Blue House Behind Huggins”)

Indigenous Student Grad Banquet
Times: 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Location: Huestis Innovation Pavillion
This will include the presentation of Acadia’s new Indigenous Graduation Sashes, which each student will be able to wear during their convocation and also take with them as they move along in their future endeavors.

Baccalaureate Service

This service of worship recognizes that graduates have a greater calling beyond themselves. The University equips its students to make a contribution to society, to be prepared to give an extra effort to the betterment of humanity. The Baccalaureate Service reminds the graduating class of this honourable responsibility. 

Prior to the ceremony, Graduands should informally line up in the basement of Manning Memorial Chapel. Graduands wear academic gowns, but no hoods or headdress to this service.

Honorary Degree Luncheon
Time: 12:00 p.m.
Location: Huestis Innovation Pavilion
(By invitation only) In recognition of Acadia’s 2019 Honorary Degree Recipients.
