The May 2024 (Winter 2024) application to graduate can now be found online at https://collss.acadiau.ca/selfservice/. On the main menu select “Graduation Overview.” This will direct you to the Graduation Application page, where you should select “Apply.” From this page proceed to complete and submit your application. The application deadline is Wednesday, January 10, 2024 for May 2024 Graduation.

Please note that the May Convocation dates are Thursday, May 16, and Friday, May 17, 2024 with the following times below:

Thursday, May 16, 2024

10 a.m. – Arts, Theology
2:30 p.m. – Science

Friday, May 17, 2024

10 a.m. – Professional Studies (including the School of Education)

 

Why do I need to apply?

You know your own academic career goals best, and we rely on you to let us know when you are planning to complete them.  This is the only way we are alerted to mark you as a potential graduate.  This also allows us to assess your completed and current courses for your program and confirm whether you are eligible to graduate.  

What if I’m not sure I will successfully complete my program requirements in time for May 2024, or there’s a possibility my plans will change?
Please apply to graduate anyway! There is no penalty for applying to graduate and then not meeting your program requirements.  We simply remove your name from the potential grad list once it’s determined that you won’t be eligible to graduate.  But we can’t determine if you are eligible to graduate if you don’t apply in the first place.

I’m taking an Open Acadia course/transfer credit course.  When do I need to have it finished in order to graduate for May 2024?
If you are taking an online course or a course on Letter of Permission (LOP) the grades are due to the Office of the Registrar by May 2, 2024.

Only students who have applied to graduate will receive important convocation information. To avoid missing important deadlines and information, please note messages will come from registrar@acadiau.ca.
