Livestreams, Kente Stoles, Alumni Reception, & more
You’re so close to convocation! We’ve got some more info on important parts of the day, from ceremony livestreams to your welcome to the Alumni Association.
Grad banquet ticket sales close April 30
This is your last chance to get tickets to your grad banquet! Reserve your ticket by April 30 to secure your spot for your last hurrah with your grad class.
Ceremony livestream
University Hall can only fit so many of your supporters and fans—but don’t worry! We will be livestreaming each ceremony in the Great Hall at Fountain Commons. The space is accessible via elevator, and there is a gender-neutral washroom. There will be seating as well as plenty of space for kids to run around and burn off some springtime energy!
The livestreams will be available to watch in real time on the Convocation website and will also be posted online after each ceremony.
Additional ticket requests
This week we will be allocating available additional ticket requests. Keep an eye on your inbox!
Going from student to alumni
Once you cross the stage at convocation you’ll move from Acadia student to alumni, and that’s cause for celebration! Alumni welcome receptions will be held in the Athletics Complex immediately following each ceremony. As you celebrate, you can take in some live music from Colrain and grab your grad class gift from Benjamin Bridge.
Kente stoles, beaded caps, & medicine pouches
When you pick up your cap and gown, we will have Kente Stoles ready for all students who self-identified as being of African descent. Extras will be available on site for those who missed the opportunity to self-identify.
Indigenous students who would like to carry a medicine pouch, and those who requested a beaded cap will be able to pick up caps and pouches on the day of their ceremony in Rhodes Room 101 (Welkaqnik).
