Convocation Tickets Sold Out: Thursday Afternoon and Friday Morning Ceremonies

We have officially sold out of guest tickets to attend the Faculty of Pure and Applied Science Convocation ceremony (Thursday, May 16, 2024, at 2:30 p.m.) and the Faculty of Professional Studies Convocation ceremony (Friday, May 17, 2024, at 10 a.m.).

A live stream will be available to view online in real-time, and the ceremony will be uploaded to the convocation website after convocation takes place.

Limited tickets remain for guests to attend the Faculty of Theology and Faculty of Arts Convocation ceremony (Thursday, May 16, 2024, at 10 a.m.). To reserve yours, graduating students must use their Acadia email address at the Box Office website: acadiau.universitytickets.com.

If you have any questions related to tickets, please email the Box Office directly at box.office@acadiau.ca or call (902) 542-5500. The Box Office is open 12-6 p.m. Monday – Friday, and 1-4 p.m. Saturday.

If you or your guests have any accessibility requirements, please email convocation@acadiau.ca and we will be happy to accommodate. 

 

Academic Attire

Every graduand wears a traditional academic mortarboard cap, gown, hood, and tassel. For those who did not reserve your regalia by the April 22nd deadline, a limited number of gowns and hoods will be available to rent on-site at an increased rental price of $57.00 plus tax. Gowns and hoods must be returned at the end of your graduation ceremony to the Athletics Complex. 

For those graduates would like to celebrate and reflect their African or Indigenous heritage during their Convocation ceremonies, Acadia University is pleased to provide two potential options: Kente stoles and medicine bags. For more information, reach out to Dotun Olutoke (dotun.olutoke@acadiau.ca) about the Kente stoles and Darlene Copeland (darlene.copeland@acadiau.ca) about the medicine bags. 

 

Welcome to the Alumni Association Receptions

Each convocation ceremony will be immediately followed by a Welcome to the Alumni Association Reception in the Athletics Complex. Graduates and their guests are encouraged to join us. Times listed are approximate.
