Dear 2021 Graduates:
Congratulations on your graduation and attaining this remarkable milestone! Although the coronavirus pandemic has influenced this year’s convocation, I hope you will take the time to embrace the moment and your accomplishments, and continue to model the Acadia motto, In pulvere vinces, through effort we conquer.
Your resilience and commitment are hallmarks of what recommends Acadia to students far and wide, and as you reflect on this incredible achievement and look with anticipation to the future, it is my privilege to welcome you to the Acadia Alumni Association. You are now part of a new community – the Acadia alumni community – which promises to support you as you take on personal and professional challenges and encourages you to stay connected to your alma mater as you navigate your life’s journey.
The accumulated experiences during your time at Acadia have combined to create a bond that will endure for years to come. The Alumni Association fosters this lifelong connection and helps to support the University’s mission through the involvement of its members. You are Acadia ambassadors in every sense, brimming with both wisdom and exuberance that together illustrate the power of the Acadia experience to people everywhere and underscore the value of all you have learned during your time at Acadia.
We are justifiably proud of you and look forward to sharing in the great things you will do as members of our alumni community. Congratulations again, and best wishes for a safe, happy and healthy Convocation 2021!
Sincerely,
Donalda MacBeath ('75)
